The sheer abstraction of the stone garden of Ryoanji is here celebrated. The austerity of the raked stones is important to to the composition of the elements of the garden.
Aligned to this is the abstraction evident in some vistas from the Shinkansen. It is almost hard to see that the left part of the image is a photograph, due to the heightened sense of abstractness. In neither photograph are the lines perfectly straight. That is as is should be.
In a sense this one is my personal favourite. I'm enjoying the abstract capabilties of photography presently.
