Human/Nature is a a series of works that contrasts human made with natural structures, using images of Norfolk Island.
Here we are back with the marble floor of the Chapel - this section directly referencing (and I assume knowingly) Polynesian patterning. Then there are the roots of the figs on the right. In-between is a shot of the limestone wall of the former Penal Colony on Norfolk. The limestone has been cut from a quarry, it's surface rendered smooth. Then, nature has done it's part in scouring the limestone block with wind, creating pockets where discolouration has formed: an excellent collaboration. Norfolk Island has some of the most excellent scungy walls I have seen, after visiting more than fourteen countries.
