
the mess hall, maria island The
Mess Hall was an old brick relic from penitentiary days. It's walls oozed atmosphere;
a fire in the corner told many tales and heated the room. Each day, a few artists
would help out the cook for the trip (Tim); on this day they went all the way
with the table setting. The food matched. The fireplace is a story in itself
