This is the website of The District of Leistavi (leis + stavia, a combination of leis or colourful garlands of flowers and stavia, or place) Leistavia is a hybrid internet micronation. A hybrid micronation is formed by an interconnected online community, in this case inbetween five geographical countries. Three places influenced the creation of the Leistavian micronation: Tallinn, Estonia; Adamstown, Pitcairn Island; Cascades,Norfolk Island. Projects have been held in San Jose USA, Belfast Ireland and online out of Germany and Italy. Leistavia is a context to examine and reevaluate identity, history and culture.
