Welcome to The District of Leistavia
Leistavia is a hybrid cultural internet micronation. It was constituted in 2004. Formative cultures are those of Pitcairn Island, Norfolk Island and Estonia. Articles of the constitution were voted for by the audience online and offline. Click here to view the constitution project.
A second project was Interrogating the invisible. This work critiqued identity and culture, allowing participants to register multiple cultural identities.

A third project was Making history. The Irish and international audience voted online for a moment of Irish history to be incorporated into the history of Leistavia. August 10 1976, the date of the founding of the Peace People organisation was selected. Follow this link to find out more about Making history.
